Use your iPhone, iPod or Windows Mobile to control iTunes

If you're looking for a simple remote control for iTunes, then look no further than your iPod Touch, iPhone or Windows Mobile Pocket PC when used in conjunction with Signal.

Signal allows you to control playback, browse or search your media library, and edit playlists from anywhere in your home as long as you have your mobile device. The controls are more than adequate too covering all the essentials such as play and pause your music, shift between songs in the playlist, adjust the volume and even rating songs and setting album art.

While Signal is easy to setup and use, the problem is that since it was first released, Apple have made their own free Remote app for iTunes meaning that many won't see why they should purchase an app like Signal to do essentially the same job. However, the ability to manage album art and change ratings may be enough to appeal to some.

Signal doesn't offer any major advantages over Apple's Remote but may have a few album art and ratings capabilities that appeal to some.
